What is your life project?

Many people come into my office asking themselves:

“Why is this happening to me?

“I have been good, and why do I get paid like this?”

“Why can’t I catch a break?”

If we came to life on Earth to master it, then each stage of this grandiose game of life gets you a bit closer to the finish line. It is quite a dark game, the existentialists would say, because death is really the finish line. Death can be seen as a transition in this game.

Helping my clients find their life project or mission is one of the most rewarding processes for me. I am here just to help them connect the dots. They do all the living and action taking.

I have three specialties that define the work that I do now. I am certain that my life project or mission is revealed through these themes.

I specialize in life transitions, loss, and attachment. As one of my own guides said to me one day, “you can stop being a therapist and sell coconuts, but you would still be doing it in a way that would be fulfilling your life project or mission.”

What is your specialty?

I have a specialty in life transitions because of my lineage, parents and my earlier life pushed me to experience endings and beginnings, moves, migration, travels. Where do I have agency in this? I work with the healing of difficult life transitions by bringing about consistency, stability, and grounding to myself and my clients.

I have a specialty in loss because of the loss experienced in my lineage and the impactful death of my mother. How do I find agency in this wound? I bring myself and my clients gain and abundance through inter-generational healing work.

I have a specialty in attachment because there was imbalance of the feminine-masculine energies in my lineage, and experiences of avoidant-anxious attachment in my own personal life. How do I find agency in this? I adamantly work on healthy connections in my personal life as well as offer insight on this topic to the couples I serve.

It is my case that these specialties, as I call them, or simply the life experineces that I have come to master in this life time have turned into years of study and credentialing. It may not be the case for you. Your specialty in life/your life project/mission, once you see it, can be turned into anything you want it to be through agency and action.
